Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital (HGB) in Charlotte, has added a 14-person resident program.
HGB has formed a partnership with Ingham Regional Medical Center's Orthopedic Residency Program and Michigan State University (MSU) to become a training facility for the accredited residents of MSU’s Orthopedic Research Institute.
“Now, being a part of this nationally recognized and accredited program is an opportunity for us to bring in more doctors and do more procedures. It allows us to be more of a teaching facility,” says Carrie Rathbun Hawks, with HGB.
The additional residents will expand the hospital’s orthopedic services, which include knee, joint, hip and shoulder replacement surgery as well as sports injury surgery, fracture care, and hand and wrist surgeries.
