Lansing Software Compliance Company Jadian Expects 500 Percent Growth

Jadian Enterpises, Inc. owner Jerry Norris sold his first software company in Grand Rapids years ago, moved to Lansing, bought the company back and, after only 18 months of operation, is expecting revenue growth of 500 percent next year.

Jadian Enterprises is in the software compliance management business, meaning that Norris and his employees write software that helps keep businesses in compliance with certain state and federal laws. For example, one of his products helps state health inspectors administer restaurant health inspections.

Jadian also works in organic certification, helping the United Arab Emirates and other countries track labor law compliance, public safety and human rights activities. Jadian has customers in Europe and Southeast Asia.

"Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week someone is using our software to manage compliance,” says Norris.

Jadian grew 300 percent in 2007 and is expected to grow by 500 percent by 2008. Norris is looking to hire four new employees.

The company recently relocated to ACD.net's Metro Internet Exchange (MIX) building, the 42,000 sq. ft. information and technology facility north of Lansing's Old Town district. Norris says he moved to Lansing because the state capital is a natural place to anchor a company that works closely with state and federal law.
