Grand Ledge Imaging Company Growing, Adding Jobs

As the need for digital documentation increases, so do Joho Technologies’ sales.

The Grand Ledge-based digital imaging company has experienced rapid growth since its initial launch in 2002. The company got its start scanning mortgage paperwork, but as that industry took a dive, owners looked for other revenue sources, particularly in the health care industry.

“Right now there’s a real push into medical records and other businesses that are doing pretty well right now,” says Michael Viges with Joho Technologies.

Joho started with one client and about three to four employees. Joho held steady for a couple of years and then started adding several new employees each year. Joho has 10 employees and expect to add more within the next year.

“We started the business in 2002 with basically one client,” Viges says. “We’ve pretty much grown by leaps and bounds.”

In 2005, Joho moved from a duplex to a 5,600 square foot office in an industrial park in Grand Ledge.

“We’re on 2.5 acres so we have lots of room to grow,” Viges says.
