Two Men and a Truck of Lansing Booming, Looking to Add Employees

Lansing-based moving company Two Men and a Truck saw sales grow 2.5 percent from 2006 to 2007, and expects to hire at least five new employees this year to keep up with continued growth.

Two Men and a Truck is an international moving company with 202 locations all over the world. Started in Okemos in the 1980s by two brothers who needed some cash, the company recorded $198.2 million in sales in 2007.

In January, Entrepreneur magazine ranked Two Men and a Truck 198 on its list of top 500 franchise systems. The magazine also ranked Two Men and a Truck No. 1 in moving services.

“We like the working mentality here and finding good employees,” says Jon Sorber, a part owner of the company.
