30-member PTD Technology Adds Staff to Expand High Tech Service Programs

Former vocational school PTD Technology has shed its vocational school roots and transformed into an ever-expanding technical services provider that has 30 employees and is searching for more.

PTD Technology primarily works with state, county and local governments to develop licensing and regulation systems. The group is currently working on a project with the state Department of Labor and Economic Growth (DLEG) that will help the department track a certain student population as it moves around the state.

The company was originally founded in East Lansing because the owner was from the area. However, PTD’s Jennifer Hogan says the area is a good place to raise a family.

“Actually, after being away from the Midwest, it is a good place to raise a family,” she says.

PTD Technology recently hired several technical experts and customer service representatives, and hopes to have three new employees by the end of the year.
