Sircon is
celebrating its 10-year anniversary as one of
Michigan’s most prosperous high tech companies with at least a 25
percent increase in revenues and a 27 percent increase in employee
growth.
The Okemos-based software development company recently
hired 25 new employees, bumping its total payroll count to 117 employees.
Sircon Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Scott Morrison, says by creating
new business opportunities, Sircon has moved from working in a $75 million
market to an $800 million market.
“We have looked at moving to different places,” Morrison
says about the company’s decision to remain in Michigan. “The reason we haven’t
is that the business climate is still favorable for a company of our size.”
This is evident by the fact that Sircon saw a 37 percent
increase in revenue last year, projects a 30 percent increase in revenue this
year, and a 25-30 percent revenue increase in 2008.
“One thing that we’ve found about this area is that the
people are here because this is where they want to live,” Morrison says. “That
really helps from an attrition standpoint.”
