Michigan State University (MSU) held its own in U.S. News & World Report’s long list of college rankings and was ranked in the top 50 percent in several different categories.
In the 2009 edition of “America’s Best College’s,” MSU’s Eli Broad College of Business was ranked No. 25 among business schools and the college’s supply chain management program ranked No. 2, behind only Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s program.
MSU’s study abroad program was also pointed to as a “program to look for.” MSU has a large study abroad program that has more than doubled in the last 10 years. In 1997-1998, 1,454 students participated in the program and in 2007-2008, 2,969 students participated in the program.
MSU has more than 250 study abroad programs in 62 countries on all continents and more than 30 percent of graduating seniors participate in the program.
Overall, U.S. News & World Report ranked MSU No. 71out of 260 national universities and No. 30 among 164 public universities.
