The newly formed M-TEAM (Meridian Township Entrepreneurial Asset Movement) is pulling together private, public and academic sectors to help Meridian Township entrepreneurs with business planning, marketing and other business support services.
“All of the communities in the state need to do whatever they can to promote entrepreneurship in the state because that’s really the key to our success as we leave the manufacturing economy behind,” says Meridian Township Trustee Julie Brixie.
The M-TEAM is in the midst of putting together the Meridian Asset Resource Center (MARC), an alliance of business, government, education and local resources who will work together to offer advice, networking, multimedia and educational opportunities for area entrepreneurs.
The M-TEAM is one of nine entrepreneur pilot programs being funded by Michigan State University (MSU) entrepreneur grants.
