Consistent quarterly revenue growth of 25 percent, an increasing client base and new hires are pushing East Lansing-based Web development company Web Ascender to a new Okemos location.
Ryan Doom, 26, and his business partner, Kevin Southworth, 25, gave their full attention to growing Web Ascender in 2006, three years after they graduated from 
Michigan State University. Web Ascender is a Web development company that specializes in Web design and Web marketing.
Doom and Southworth need to hire a couple of people for their new location at 4295 Okemos Road in Okemos.
“There’s definitely smart people here and you can do a lot with a smart person if you’re willing to spend a little time on them,” Doom says about the availability of high tech talent.
Web Ascender employees will not be confined to their new Okemos location; however, many of their employees do a day's work from their favorite Mid-Michigan coffee shop. Even though they do a lot of remote work, Doom estimates that the company will have to move to a bigger space in 2009.
Doom says they would consider moving to East Lansing’s new technology incubator being created in downtown East Lansing above Barnes and Noble booksellers.
