Winners Chosen in Netvantage Marketing's 2009 Lansing Web Awards Competition

The Lansing Web Awards (LWA) contest, sponsored by Netvantage Marketing, was launched in December 2009 as a way to draw attention to Lansing Area websites and businesses. On Jan. 4, five contestants received awards in the categories of: first year business; non-profit; small business; corporate and student run websites.

The winners, decided by the voting public, were, the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan, Life in Lansing, Liquid Web and Shock Media.

"It was great to see how people latched onto this, especially since it’s the first year,” says  Adam Henige, managing partner of sponsor Netvantage Marketing, a search engine marketing firm located in East Lansing. “Hopefully we can build off of this momentum and make this event bigger and better year in and year out.”

Local talent was also responsible for the development  of all the winning sites. The Shock Media, GiftZip and Liquid Web sites were designed and are currently maintained by internal staff. The Ronald McDonald House and Life in Lansing sites were developed by local companies Traction and MC Squared Technology Group, respectively. 

“It’s exciting to see the type of response these companies and organizations were able to receive,” adds Netvantage Marketing's Joe Ford.  “It’s also nice to know that some of the winning sites are also showcasing the work of other exceptional Lansing businesses.”
