INC. magazine recently ranked Lansing-based Liquid Web as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. Liquid Web was ranked the 693rd fastest-growing company in the nation and the 19th fastest growing computer and electronic company.
INC. ranks the top 5,000 companies overall and by industry based on revenue growth over a three-year period. Liquid Web's revenue grew from $2.1 million in 2004 to $12.2 million in 2007, a growth rate of 491.6 percent.
“What it means for us is that we’re being recognized for the strong growth we’ve been seeing for the last several years,” says Liquid Web spokesman, Travis Stoliker. “We’re really being recognized by the industry and national publications.”
Liquid Web is a managed Web-hosting company that has three data centers in Lansing. The company broke ground on the third, $80 million, 90,000 square foot data center in Delta Township earlier this year.
Liquid Web attributes its growth to these data centers as well as its trademarked Heroic Support customer service.
In 2007, Liquid Web was ranked 677 overall and No. 17 in the “Computer and Electronics” category. One hundred companies are ranked in the “Computer and Electronics” category.
“Liquid Web hires people who are passionate about the Internet,” says INC. about Liquid Web. “The company is solely owned by the CEO.”
