On Friday May 1, Spartan engineers presented their innovations during the Michigan State University College of Engineering Design Day.

The event showcases the accomplishments of the next generation of engineering designers, innovators and entrepreneurs, while providing an opportunity for interaction between college and precollege students. The event is held at the end of each fall and spring semester.
Participating are students from the Applied Engineering Sciences program, and the departments of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
College of Engineering teams, involved with projects that demand the integration of engineering theory and practice, will be in the spotlight. Robotic competitions, innovative machines and prototype design builds are highlights of the day. Middle school and high school students also will participate in design activities, exploring engineering principles while interacting with their peers and college students.
