Michigan State University (MSU) graduates are among the 15 new hires starting work at the newly opened IBM delivery center in East Lansing.

IBM's first global delivery center in the United States is expected to result in hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the next five years.
"This is one of the better things to happen to the city and the local economy," said Satish Udpa, dean of MSU's College of Engineering. "It gives our students an opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems."
Armonk, N.Y.-based International Business Machines Corp. hired about 40 people to do software development and maintenance work at the East Lansing center.
