Jackson National Life CFO Andy Hopping, is devoted to his full time and career and music, a part-time gig that’s allowed him to travel around the country with his band, an amalgamation of Jackson National Life employees.
According to excerpts from the article:
In spite of his long work days plus his family obligations, Hopping makes sure he has time for one important thing in his busy schedule: Music.
"It's out of necessity," says Hopping, speaking from his ultra-modern office accented with original art. "You almost don't feel right unless you have that in your life. It gives you confidence and calm."
On Sunday morning at 6 a.m., you can catch Hopping in the basement of his Okemos home, writing tunes. "I don't like to watch TV — it's mindless. I'm devoted to music. It gives me balance, relieves stress and helps me be more effective in my job. It gets my mind away from work,"Hopping said. "It's hard to make music and think about business."
