More than 200 people were interviewed for more than 300 vacant jobs that the
Capitol Area Michigan Works office is working hard to fill. Many of the jobs are automotive and military jobs that could lead to full-time work.

34-year-old mother of seven landed a job with one of four staffing
agencies interviewing through today for more than 300 area
manufacturing jobs.
About 200 people were interviewed by the staffing companies Arcadia, CS Staffing, Staffing Inc. and Personnel World. The agencies were on hand at work force development agency Capital Area Michigan Works' office on South Cedar Street.
Officials from the staffing firms and Michigan Works have declined to say exactly which companies are hiring through them. But they said some of the jobs are tied to automotive and military work.
