BWL Recognized by EPA for Methane Capture Project

The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) was one of just seven organizations recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its innovative landfill methane-capture project.

According to excerpts from the article:

The U.S. EPA recognized seven innovative landfill methane capture projects at the 12th Annual Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) Annual Conference and Project Expo in Baltimore, Md., on Jan. 13.

The award-winning projects were recognized for excellence in innovation and creativity, success in promoting project development, and achieving environmental and economic benefits.

Three projects were recognized as LMOP projects of the year.
