Lansing Township is finished with an $8.5 million road
project surrounding Eastwood Towne
Center. Lansing-Township
officials believe the project will help relieve traffic congestion near the
popular shopping area.

Drive before Thanksgiving. Coupled with the
reconstruction of Lake Lansing
Road from Wood Street to Chamberlain, the township
and Ingham County spent $8.5 million on the
project.
Township officials said Tuesday they're fielding
inquiries from hotels, doctors and developers interested in the area, which has
seen a business boom led by the Eastwood retail center.
"Our first renaissance was Eastwood," Township
Manager John Daher said Tuesday at an event marking the end of construction.
"But there's more to come."
