Lansing-Made CTS Makes Short List for Car of the Year Award

The Lansing made 2009 Cadillac CTS-V is one of 14 cars in the running for the 2009 North American Car and Truck of the Year awards.

The Detroit Free Press, in a column by Mark Phelan, said the vehicle has made the "short list" of vehicles vying for the top honor. Phelan was among those evaluating vehicles.

The new version of the CTS-V is made at GM's Lansing Grand River plant and soon will arrive on dealer lots.

The high-performance version of the CTS sedan has a 556-horsepower engine capable of going from a full stop to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds. The car has a starting price of $59,995.
