Concentrate is hiring an engagement manager for its On the Ground Ypsilanti embedded journalism project. The engagement manager will maintain a regular presence in Ypsilanti and collaborate with the local project manager and managing editor on events and a social media strategy. This candidate must be well connected in the Ypsilanti community and live in Ypsilanti or Ypsilanti Township.

The engagement manager will post updates on a weekly basis to Concentrate’s social media accounts. Additionally, the engagement manager will be responsible for developing relationships with residents and business leaders in Ypsilanti. Furthermore, ideal candidates will have prior experience working with and/or mentoring people of color, or members of other underrepresented groups.
