I am currently the Internet Specialist for Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. My main role is to maintain the public website presence for the entire health system including all seven hospital. I also work with social media, pay-per-click advertising and SEO marketing. I also assist in other marketing tasks that can range from interviewing patients to sitting in on surgeries for our next television spot. I'm grateful to the City of Ann Arbor for giving me a career and a place to call home after graduating from the University of Michigan. I found love and a life here and I plan on buying my first house in Ann Arbor soon.

I recently started to work for the University of Michigan in a newly created position as the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund’s Marketing and Communications Specialist. In this role, I will spearhead the integrated marketing communications efforts leading to increased program awareness and donor cultivation for the Prechter Fund, as well as get the word out about mental health illnesses and bipolar disorder in particular.

I am looking forward to developing and implementing strategic communications plans leading to increased awareness for the Fund and the research into bipolar disorder being done at UM and beyond. It is my responsibility to coordinate and assure quality control of all data, events, stewardship and communications. I’ll be able to make good use of my professional experience in all aspects of marketing communications, such as branding and corporate identity, website content management, newsletters and other print media, press releases and media relations, advertising, social media and event management.
The academic field is very new to me but I am excited to work together with world-class researchers, donors and staff. I hope that I’ll be able to make a difference in how people view mental illnesses and to do my part to help individuals with bipolar disorder live an excellent quality of life.

I research, collect, analyze and maintain health care data to support corporate programs and projects. I also apply methods to interpret and summarize data to provide usable information.  Finally, I compile models, reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods.

As a scientist at DNA Software, I am responsible for executing and leading research efforts on computational structural biology projects. DNA Software, in collaboration with Prof. John SantaLucia’s laboratory at Wayne State University, has been developing software for the homology modeling of RNA and RNA-protein complexes, NA-CAD (Nucleic Acid Computer Aided Design). I am involved in researching and initiating new projects with the goal of extending our current computational technologies and eventually, developing a complete suite of tools for RNA drug discovery.

A large part of my job involves coordinating tradeshows where in order to display products for surgeons and perfusionists.

I am part of a team of 2 DBA's that monitor, maintain and support all databases for HealthMedia. This includes providing 24X7 support for our Production, Development, Testing, UAT and QA databases and setting up new fault tolerant Highly Available databases. We also support a Data Warehouse database that is used for reporting and Business Intelligence purposes.

At the American Heart Association, I am responsible for fundraising for Washtenaw County.

KHC does strategic and operational planning for hospitals, on both the business and facilities side. At the strategic level, we work with organization leadership to evaluate the alignment of the entire organization, identify opportunities to balance the operational model and discuss strategies that drive brand positioning – community perceptions, physician attraction, and staff recruitment and retention. At a department or service level, we help clinical leadership identify ‘gaps’ within their current operations that impact efficiency, satisfaction, and financial performance. Our exploration and solutions are based on current best practices within the industry - and beyond, where appropriate - and are balanced to address our clients’ unique culture, context and community expectations.

I strategize and execute aggressive marketing and public relations strategies for growing medical device company currently with not only a national but global reach. I draft key message documents, product brochures and differentiation collateral materials.  I also work with clinical trial sites to ensure effective communication.

Afia Inc. is an IT services firm with a relentless focus on healthcare. I work with clients to turn ideas into real-world healthcare IT tools.  I am responsible for the entire life cycle of a project including gathering requirements, working on the design,  and performing training to ensure adoption of system changes.  I work with primary health care, community mental health, and other health providers to find ways to improve patient care.  Our projects range from designing electronic records, to data warehousing, to IT assessments with road maps for improvement.  Afia's mission is to partner with healthcare providers to implement tools, techniques, and strategies that will dramatically improve patient outcomes

I assist in the procedure of invasive diagnostic and emergent cardiac catheterizations at the University of Michigan Hospital.

As a Senior Staff Associate, I provide staff support to senior administration as well as various executive and administrative groups within the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers.   This includes, coordinating the development, implementation and administration of programs, projects and operations related activities.  My job gives me many opportunities to work with and serve as a liaison to many departments across the Health System, University of Michigan campus, as well as external civic and community organizations.

As a Community Outreach Coordinator, I establish and maintain relationships and partnerships, develop and establish multiple channels for service activities, and actively participate in Provider and Community Based Organizations functions, health fairs, etc. I also develop new strategies and ideas for community outreach, achieve net growth goals by assigned Provider and Community Based Organizations, and measure and track productivity and results.

I am responsible for better understanding the needs of our customers and working to implement those insights into site and service improvements. I am also utilizing web analytics to streamline our marketing efforts as well as forecast future growth and revenue.

My job is to provide analytical support on a number of health related research projects. Specifically, this includes writing SAS and SQL code to prepare, analyze, and model data, writing reports, and keeping up with other published results.
