Chemical Bank reports double earnings in third quarter

The MidMichigan Physicians Group at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland announced a new interventional cardiologist, Karl Duncan, M.D., is now on staff.

Duncan is a specialist in treatment of cardiovascular disease, and is certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, endovascular medicine, vascular medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine.

He says he's looking forward to seeing advances in cardiology that are improving patient results in recent years.

"With new medications, devices and technology, patients' lives will be prolonged," says Duncan, who also emphasizes patient education. "I would like my patients to feel comfortable that I have their best interests in mind and that I am more than willing to answer their questions and provide expert care."

Duncan's medical degree is from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, but his background also includes a residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, as well as fellowships at Wayne State and Harper University Hospital in Detroit. He went on to serve fellowships at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in New York, and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.
