Saginaw Chippewa tribe opens Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park

While we're not big on camping (to each their own, right?) we sure know a lot of people who are, and a lot of those folks consider using their recreational vehicles as the best way to do it.

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan recognizes that RVs are a big part of the traveling culture these days and decided it was best to open their own park for guests traveling through the area. The Soaring Eagle Hideway RV Park officially opened last week at 5050 East Airport Road in Mt. Plesant.

The project, which was built by the Horizon Construction Group out of Madison, Wis., was built in conjunction with the construction of the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel, which also opened recently.

The property features 67 RV lots--each with water, sewer, and electricity hook-ups, concrete pads, fire pits, picnic tables, and free Wi-Fi access. The park is situated on a 25-acre lake. There is also a clubhouse, walking trails, laundry facilities and a playground.
