Weinlander Fitzhugh, a certified public accounting and financial consulting office, has a new firm controller with the hiring of Leann Walker.
Walker, who is a graduate from Central Michigan University, comes to Weinlander Fitzhugh with plenty of experience. Prior to accepting the position with the CPA firm, she was the controller at a manufacturing company for eight years and has 20 years of experience in financial reporting, forecasting, cash management and cost analysis, among others.
Walker's new position finds her responsible for financial statement preparation, forecasting, cash management, payroll processing, HR responsibilities and other accounting functions for the Weinlander Fitzhugh.
The accounting firm, founded in 1944, has offices in Bay City, Clare, Gladwin and West Branch. It currently has seven partners and 40 employees.
