Bavarian Inn Lodge earns recognition as one of best places in Great Lakes Bay Region to tie the knot

There are destination weddings and then there are destinations that are just darn good places to have a wedding.

The Bavarian Inn Lodge is one of the latter. Want proof? Just ask the readers of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Lifestyle magazine. They voted the lodge as the winner of the "Greatest of the Great Lakes Bay Place for a Wedding Reception." It is the first time the Bavarian Inn has won the honor.

"Everyone in the organization is very proud of this recognition," says lodge president Judy Zehnder Keller. "We work hard at providing our couples and their families a memorable experience on a day they'll never forget."

Zehnder Keller, who was recently ranked in the top 10 of Leading Moms in Business for 2011, says while awards are no doubt significant, it is the gratitude of customers that moves her and her team to do their best.

"Our successes are shown in the faces of the families we serve each day, be it at a wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner or shower," she says. "Satisfaction is the ability to serve our patrons well. And our measurement is a smile, a 'thank you' and a repeat customer."

According to Zehnder Keller, the Bavarian Inn hosts approximately 100 weddings each year. It's an ideal location because it can offer both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and can accommodate up to 425 guests.
