There's a new CEO and president for the
Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance after a decision by the board of directors.
The board selected Terence Moore to replace John Lore to sit in the president's chair. The change will take place on March 1, which is when Lore will retire after serving as president and CEO for the past two years.
Moore has plenty of experience, serving as executive in residence at
Saginaw Valley State University. Prior to that, he had a 31-year career in health care, including time as the president of the Midland Medical Center and of MidMichigan Health.
Board chair Mitzi Dimitroff says she is "delighted" at the hiring of Moore.
"We had many very qualified applicants for this position, but we felt that Terry could carry out the Alliance Mission to encourage a regional environment that is supportive of business, economic development and education," Dimitroff says. "We will be looking to him to help promote an efficient and effective local and regional community that maintains a quality of life sufficient to attract and retain individuals and companies to the region."
The Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance is overseen by a board of 31 business leaders from several Mid-Michigan cities, including Bay City, Midland and Saginaw.
