Northwood University in Midland announced it has hired on a new addition to the admissions department; Rose Avery, who will be based in Grand Rapids.
Avery's new job title will be regional admissions representative for the Grand Rapids area.
Her background is in management administration, with a bachelor's degree from Cleary University. She's previously worked as a senior sales representative at Ameritox Ltd. in Michigan, and in the western Michigan division of 3M Pharmaceuticals.
Matthew Bennet is the director of admissions for the DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood, and says Avery brings plenty of sales, marketing and development experience to the school.
"We are excited to welcome Rose to our admissions team. Her enthusiasm and business savvy will prove beneficial in actively enhancing the brand image and awareness of Northwood University," Bennett says.
Avery will be responsible for admissions and marketing related to Northwood's Adult Degree Program and the DeVos Graduate School Evening MBA Program, and will be working closely with Northwood's Grand Rapids Program Center.
