SVSU hires six, promotes one

This fall welcomed students back to school at Saginaw Valley State University, but it also brought some new employees to the college's campus.

Five new hires were added to the university, spread across several departments and functions, including custodial, coaching and faculty.

In campus facilities, Ryan Anderson was hired as a custodial specialist. In the athletics department, Karl Kling was named assistant baseball coach. In the diversity programs department, Carol Mueller was hired as administrative secretary.

International guest faculty member Jiro Naganuma joins the science, engineering and technology department, while Anne Marie Ritz will serve as field and professional placement coordinator for the criminal justice department.

Another employee was rehired for her existing position, as Annette Lynch will continue her role as basic skills math coordinator in the science, engineering and technology department.

Finally, SVSU announced a promotion in the campus facilities operations field. Joel Kiss moved up to the title of manager of business and operations for facilities.
