Webster's views 'Select Registry' designation as an exclusive honor

Isn't it grand to know that someone has been watching the work you're doing and is willing to recognize just how great you've been doing? It's the same for a business, such as the Historic Webster House bed and breakfast in Bay City, which was recently named a Select Registry Distinguished Inn of North American--a designation that is only bestowed upon the best of the top inns across the country.

Select Registry sends in independent inspectors to experience and review each of its nearly 400 inns. "The inspectors arrive anonymously, spend the night, and evaluate the inn based on a detailed point system, which translates into a pass/fail grade for the inn," the Select Registry website states. "Inns applying for membership are inspected periodically, as are existing member inns. Not all have what it takes to pass the inspections."

The honor doesn't escape Webster House owner Deborah Ingersoll, who says that it is with gratitude she accepts the listing in the prestigious directory.

"We take this designation very seriously," Ingersoll says. "The inspection process for an inn to be named to the Select Registry is rigorous, and it just lends credibility to our mission. The Webster House goes above and beyond in making the guests' experience among the best they can receive in North America."
