Wolverine Bank makes staff changes

Wolverine Bank sure has been busy lately. The financial institution announced recently one new hire and two promotions at various offices across mid-Michigan.

Susan Sweebe was promoted to senior deposit specialist in the Midland offices while Kathleen Wishowski was promoted to collections and loan servicing manager. The bank also hired Brian Cherry as a commercial loan officer.

Wishowski has been with Wolverine Bank for the past 15 years, having worked as a teller and collections manager and, for the past nine years, a loan servicing specialist and loan servicing supervisor. In her new role, she'll be overseeing those very departments.

Sweebe's job responsibilities will be focused mostly on deposit customer sales and services, including outreach to new and existing customers and keeping them informed about services and products, as well as handling of customer requests and inquiries and processing transactions. Sweebe has been with Wolverine Bank since 1997.

Cherry comes to Wolverine Bank with more than 13 years of banking, mortgage and commercial lending experience. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Michigan State University and a master's in business administration from the University of Massachusetts. His primary role at Wolverine Bank will be the growth and development of the commercial line of business throughout southeast Michigan.
