Midland's Wolverine Bank gets 5-star rating

After 77 years in the business, it's really no surprise that Wolverine Bank in Midland knows what it's doing.

The financial institution proved again it is one of the best in the business with the announcement by BauerFinancial stating that Wolverine had earned its highest 5-star Superior rating for strength and stability. Wolverine Bank has earned the top rating for 88 consecutive quarters, which puts the financial institution into the category of "Exceptional Performance Bank," a designation reserved for those institutions that have maintained 5-stars for at least 10 years.

"In a climate where it is increasingly difficult to shine, Wolverine Bank proves it can be done," says Karen Dorway, president of BauerFinancial, an independent bank and credit union rating and research firm. "In fact, local residents should be proud that their community bank is one of the elite financial institutions in the nation. They can rest assured that their deposits are well-placed in this 5-Star bank."

The rating is given to banks that excel in such areas as capital adequacy, delinquent loan levels and profitability, which Wolverine Bank has been a leader in despite the difficult last few years for the banking industry.

Wolverine Bank was established in 1933 and currently operates through offices in Midland, Frankenmuth as well as the Bay County area and has loan offices in Saginaw and Lansing. More information about the bank can be found on its website.
