Caro is located in the “Thumb” subregion of the Flint/Tri-Cities region. It is the largest community in the Thumb, both by population number as well as bring the industrial and commercial center. It is home to many major Michigan companies, including the Pioneer Sugar Company and Michigan Ethanol. The city has many annual traditions and events, including the Tuscola County Fair late every summer. But their biggest draw is the Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival, an annual event that started over 30 years ago and is now a four-day festival attracting over 50,000 visitors.
