Located on the shores of Lake Huron along Michigan’s scenic US-23 highway, East Tawas is a small but vibrant northern Michigan town with a very active downtown filled with independently-owned boutiques, restaurants and galleries. East Tawas is also the home of several popular annual events, especially Perchville USA, the largest non-land community festival in northeast Michigan that has been held annually for over 60 years now. Perchville is a celebration of ice fishing and is marked by a popular chili cook-off as well as a Polar Bear Swim.
