Excerpt: Following a harsh winter, lakes in Northern Michigan are experiencing below average temperatures, which is negatively impacting water-life and summer activities in both inland lakes and Lake Michigan.
For the month of July, past Lake Michigan temperatures from 1992-2013 have had an average range of 60 to 61 degrees Fahrenheit.
