WAI announces six new hires

Wightman & Associates, Inc. recently welcomed six professionals to its team of civil engineers, architects, and surveyors.

Casey Bourdo of Holland has been hired to join the WAI Architecture Studio as an interior designer. She brings six years of experience in hospitality and commercial design to the role. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from Western Michigan University, and is certified by the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) as a registered interior designer. She will work out of the Wightman & Associates, Inc. Benton Harbor and Portage offices.
 
Michael Freeman of Dowagiac is the newest addition to the WAI survey team. He has more than 10 years of land surveying and field management experience and holds a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Tallahassee Community College. Freeman will be a survey crew chief based out of the Benton Harbor office.
 
Mack Green of Buchanan has joined the WAI Benton Harbor office as an engineer-in-training. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Trine University.  His experience includes four summers as an Inspector for Wightman & Associates and three summers as a laborer for BG Construction. 
 
Brian Hight of Ada has joined the WAI Allegan office as an engineer. With nearly 20 years of experience, he will focus on overseeing SAW grants for area municipalities. Hight is a licensed Professional Engineer and a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He earned a Certificate in Education in Planning and Zoning from the University of Wisconsin Extension. His background includes project management, planning, and engineering design.
 
Frank Renaldi of Kalamazoo has been hired to join the WAI Portage office as a Project Manager. The Western Michigan University alumnus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as an Associates of Science degree from Alpena Community College. He has more than 25 years of consulting and municipal engineering experience including water, sewer, and roadway system project management and design.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan and a Dale Carnegie graduate.
 
Jimen Yoon of Berrien Springs has joined the WAI Architecture Studio in Benton Harbor as an architect. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree and a Master of Architecture degree, both from Andrews University. He has worked in the architectural field since 2013 and was an adjunct professor at the Andrews University School of Architecture Art and Design.

Wightman & Associates, Inc. is a civil engineering, architectural, and survey firm that has been serving Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana since 1946 with offices in Benton Harbor, Portage, and Allegan.
