Borgess ProMed Family Practice has welcomed two new associates, Lindsay M. Allen, certified physician assistant (PA-C), and Ashley M. Jones, DNP, FNP-BC.
Allen previously was a physician assistant -- Family Practice and Walk-In Provider, with Family Health Center in Kalamazoo. She also held nurse assistant and nurse technician positions in surgery short stay and cardiac progressive units with Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
Allen is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants, Kansas Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Physician Assistant Education Association. She earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Albion College in Albion.
Jones previously was with Family Health Center in Kalamazoo, where she was a family nurse practitioner. She has been a registered nurse serving in a variety of medical and surgical units at hospitals and medical centers in California, Hawaii, Kansas, Massachusetts, Texas and Michigan since 2005.
Jones earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in July 2012 from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jones received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Robert B. Miller College in Battle Creek.
Allen and Jones have joined Borgess ProMed Family Practice at the Woodbridge Hills location in Portage and are accepting new patients.
