Skanska names new vice president of preconstruction

Bert Booy has been named vice president of preconstruction for Skanska USA. He is based in Skanska’s Kalamazoo office. In his new position he will oversee preconstruction efforts for the company’s Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee operations. 
 
Booy has 17 years of construction industry experience and has been with Skanska for 12 years.
 
Some of his recent projects include the new terminal at Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Gun Lake Casino in Bradley, Mich., and several projects on the University of Notre Dame campus. 
 
Booy earned a bachelor’s degree in construction science and management from Western Michigan University. 
 
Skanska USA is one of the largest construction networks in the country and serves a broad range of industries including healthcare, education, sports, data centers, government, aviation, transportation, power, energy and water/wastewater.
