This story features the photography of Lucas Seilheimer. Lucas is a 17-year-old living in Kalamazoo. For this photo story, Lucas applied his photo abilities and artistic approach to visual arts to tell a story of transportation from a youth’s perspective. Lucas has experience at Loy Norrix school newspaper, Knight Life and Read and Write Kalamazoo leadership programs. The Voices of Youth program is a collaboration between Southwest Michigan Second Wave and KYD Network, underwritten by the Stryker Johnston Foundation.
From walking, to biking, to taking the bus the ways of getting around Kalamazoo are many. Here are some scenes from the street.
