Brian A. Higgins joins Forensic Fluids Laboratories

Brian A. Higgins has joined oral fluid drug testing firm Forensic Fluids Laboratories as a Certifying Scientist.

Higgins will help Forensic Fluids Laboratories expand its capabilities to screen and analyze samples for illegal and prescription drugs, including use of precise liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry testing.

Higgins, 38, comes to Forensic Fluids Laboratories after 13 years with Orchid Cellmark, a DNA testing company based in New Jersey.

He previously supervised lab operations related to Forensics/CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) at Orchid Cellmark’s site in Farmer’s Branch, Tex., and also previously served in several lab roles at the company’s site in East Lansing, Mich.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Higgins holds degrees in criminal justice and forensic chemistry.

Forensic Fluids Laboratories is a leader in oral fluid drug testing, which analyzes a person’s saliva for levels of illegal or prescription drugs.
