As the popularity of the Heroes of Newerth continues to grow so does the staff of S2 Games.
The Kalamazoo-based game publisher and development company has added four employees in the past month and is currently seeking another for its Michigan operation. The staff in Kalamazoo works on game design, programming, business development, marketing, web development, and everything else needed to keep the company growing.
The company also is seeking four employees for its Rohnert Park, CA., office where the art team works.
S2 Games launched in May 2010 and within a year had doubled its staff to about 55.
Further growth is anticipated soon as the game expands around the globe, especially in Korea and South and Central America in coming months. S2 has rolled out a plan to provide gamers in both regions with localized servers, regional marketing, dedicated support teams, e-sport tournaments, and local billing services where gamers can use their local currency.
To carry out the plan S2 Games has entered into exclusive partnerships with regional online gaming platforms Ntreev Soft and Axeso5.com.
Through Axeso5.com the company will provide localized service in Spanish and Portuguese. "Latin Gamers will be able to use local cash through the broad billing network that Axeso5.com has in the region," says Cristian Schweizer, CEO of Axeso5.com.
Korean developer and publisher Ntreev Soft will manage Korean localization and distribution efforts for HoN in Korea. HoN will have closed beta launches in Korea within the second quarter of this year and Latin Americans can expect to see their own closed beta launch shortly after.
