While shopping for a bike, Art Robertson, a lifelong Battle Creek resident, said the city has a good network of bike paths in place. "They just don’t do enough promotion." City Commissioner David Walters wants to change that, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports. Walters is asking the city commission to approve a new committee that will look at issues related to recreation and non-motorized transit. Its first order of business will be to try to win an official bike-friendly community designation from the League of American Bicyclists.
