A grant of $150,000 will go to the Salvation Army of Battle Creek for its "Healthy Kids Build Strong Families" initiative, a two-year program to reach out to and assist local families with children, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports. The W.K. Kellogg grant also will help the Salvation Army offer a summer day camp and a character building program called Wild on Wednesdays.
