BLOOM event aims to boost self esteem of area girls

Join A Beautiful Me at Bloom 2019 on March 8.
It's been seven years since Power 88.3 and A Beautiful Me partnered to address the needs associated with developing teen girls as they discover their true beauty, self-worth and to remind them that they matter.

BLOOM 2019, a high-energy program shows about 700 girls that what happens today is just a chapter in your life, not the entire story and that there are people who will invest in them through deeper relationships. The evening includes activities that will lead to the event kick-off of spoken word, dance, peer to peer stories, music and lots of prizes.

The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. March 8 at McMorran Place Theatre. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s musical guests will be Caitie Hurst, a 23-year-old Tennessee native who creates songs with magnetic melodies and rhythm that come from the journeys she’s walked. The second guest is a three-time returnee to BLOOM. V.Rose, from California, is a pop and urban recording artist who shares a personal message of self-worth in her music.

Tickets can be pre-purchased at TheBloomEvent.com for $18 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door for $25 each.

McMorran Place is at 701 Huron Blvd. in Port Huron

This is the final year for BLOOM as both partnering organizations have many ideas to provide content relevant youth events next year.
