Entrepreneurial program Invent NMU is launched on campus

Northern Michigan University in Marquette is launching a new program to encourage entrepreneurship and business startups.

It's called Invent@NMU, and will focus on entrepreneurship and innovation, allowing NMU students to learn how to take physical products from idea to reality. The program will work somewhat like a SmartZone, helping regional businesses through the startup process and connecting to NMU educators and students along the way.

Students will also work with professional mentors to develop skills in design, manufacturing and marketing. Invent@NMU will be located on Presque Isle Avenue across from Cohodas Hall, in the former mBank building.
