Pioneer Surgical opens new office in Germany

Marquette-based Pioneer Surgical Technology announced that it is expanding its international presence--and not just competitively. The company--which has developed successful products in the spine, biologics, orthopedics, and cardiothoracic markets--announced that it will open a new facility in Konstanz, Germany.

The company, in turn, has created Pioneer Surgical technology Deutschland GMBH to help give them a better presence in the growing German market.

"Our strategy is for Pioneer Surgical Global Spine to be recognized as a market leader in providing innovative surgical solutions that benefit the patient, surgeon and hospitals around the world," states Jim St. John, executive vice president of Global Distributed Spine. "Our goal is to nimbly address individual market needs through a combination of dedicated personnel and customized product offerings tailored to the unique requirements of individual markets as substantiated by careful business analysis."

Pioneer Surgical Technology was founded in Marquette in 1992 and has several other facilities throughout the United States as well as in Houten, the Netherlands. It currently employs approximately 300 people worldwide.
