TJ Maxx is definitely interested in the Upper Peninsula lately. After opening a new store in Marquette in September, a TJ Maxx now also is open in Sault Ste. Marie.
The grand opening was Oct. 28 in Sault Ste. Marie, after several months of preparation of the new store, located at Cascade Crossing on the I-75 Business Spur.
The discount department store was a presence in the community already, with managers and staffers participating in a Halloween-timed Zombie Walk in downtown Sault Ste. Marie to help raise awareness for autism last week.
Store officials say the TJ Maxx offerings in the Sault include men's, women's and children's clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor, and will evolve over time in response to local customers' needs.
The store is open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
