Upper Peninsula Second Wave will be taking a holiday break to celebrate with family and friends

It's hard to believe that the holidays are upon us already. We started this endeavor earlier in 2010, and since then the time has just flown by.

A large part of that has been you, the readers, who have supported us and helped us along each step of the way. In addition, the businesses, the colleges and the people of our area have been nothing but supportive, making 2010 a year to remember for us and our publication.

Time flies when people are having fun, they say, but also when you've got your nose to the grindstone working hard to be successful. We here at Second Wave definitely feel as though we've worked hard, and we're proud of the product we publish and send directly to your inbox (if you haven't signed up for the email newsletter, you should).

While we never shy away from hard work, we are happy to say that we do try to take a break now and then to step away from our computers and spend time with our family and friends. That's why we'll be taking time away from the publication until January so that we can celebrate the holidays with those close to us.

The entire Second Wave staff wants to thank each and every one of you for being readers and for helping make us a success. We hope that you have a great holiday season and a wonderful new year. We look forward to being back in 2011 and bringing you the best we have to offer. Until then, please feel free to browse the site and look back over 2010. Tell your friends, your family and your colleagues. Spread the word. The more involved in Second Wave, the merrier, we like to think.

Happy holidays, everyone, and remember to be safe, stay warm and have fun. We'll see you soon.
