UPside of Life: Take a survey, win some swag

Have you ever wanted to strut around town with a Lake Superior State University hoodie on? How about amaze your friends with a Lakers t-shirt?

Well, you're in luck.

Thanks to our friends over at Lake Superior State University (that's you, Tom and John) and our little gang here at Upper Peninsula Second Wave, all of those Laker apparel dreams can come true.

All you have to do to be entered to win one of these prizes is simply fill out an online survey that basically asks you how we're doing and what we can do better here at Second Wave. You can access that survey here.

The hoodie, which writer Kim Hoyum has been coveting, is an extra large and helps you show off your Laker pride with a bit of a chemistry twist. The word "Lakers" is spelled out with sections of the periodic table of elements (geek is in, you know).

The t-shirt is a medium and features the team name on the front and "Laker Country" on the back.

Winners will be contacted via email for the mailing address. Just as a disclaimer, we cannot change the sizes of the apparel and the drawing will be done randomly based on the email address provided on the online survey. Prizes not claimed within 15 days will be given to another randomly selected winner.

And don't worry if you have some sort of survey phobia but you still want to express your opinions. You can send me an email anytime you'd like. We're also open to story ideas, photos of cute puppies, free pasties and will even do our best to answer questions about the publication.

So, fill out a survey and win some free swag. That, my friends, sounds like a good deal if I've ever heard one.
