SIR Credit Union joins fee-free ATM network

Superior Iron Range Federal Credit Union, based in Negaunee, announced it has joined a national free-free ATM and point-of-sale transaction network. The network, Credit Union 24, is the country's largest such partnership and is credit-union owned.

"Through our partnership with Credit Union 24, we are now able to provide our members with greater convenience and accessibility," says Superior Iron Range Credit Union president and CEO Ron Lauren.

He says the benefits to members will include being able to use their ATM cards without paying fees at more ATM locations nationwide, and being able to use their debit cards at more national merchants.

SIR FCU serves 10,000 account holders in Marquette, Iron, Alger, Dickinson and Baraga counties in the Upper Peninsula.

Credit Union 24 counts more than 70,000 ATM member locations in the U.S. that offer free-free transactions.
