It doesn't matter which market was the first, or the 100th or even the 300th--what matters is that Marquette is going to be
Verizon Wireless' 400th 4G LTE market.
What that means for Verizon users in the city is faster data speeds for smartphones, tablets, netbooks, hotspots and more.
Verizon announced on Oct. 9 that it had intention of surpassing the goal of covering 400 markets with its Fourth Generation (4G) Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network by the end of 2012--a goal that they now have plenty of time to build on (we're sure Escanaba, Iron Mountain or Houghton would gladly become one of the markets to help surpass the 400th!).
According to Verizon Wireless, they now offer 4G LTE coverage to more than 245 million people in the United States.
Verizon currently has stores in Marquette, Escanaba, Houghton and Iron Mountain.
