It looks like Coach Tom Izzo of MSU hasn't forgotten his U.P. roots yet. He got mentioned in a few national news stories for helping a lady get her car out of her driveway downstate.
Excerpt: So as he and former player Idong Ibok were driving to the Breslin Center on Monday morning, he was busy complaining to Ibok about how long it was taking them due to the slow driving of cars in front.
That's when Izzo noticed a woman at the end of her driveway using a snow blower to try to free her car.
